Boomers are the generation born between 1946 and 1964, 76 million of us. Our parents were raised during the Depression, they won World War II and they won the Cold War. When someone threatened democracy they rose to meet that challenge. Now Donald Trump is defying the constitution, ignoring the rule of law and denying personal freedoms to American citizens. He and his minions are threatening democracy for our kids and grandkids. So now it’s our turn to stand up – just as our parents did – and meet this new challenge.
Many of us are retired so it’s easier for us to take this on. Our kids are working so we can take their spirit and energy to demonstrations and protests. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We’re in this for as long as it takes and for as much as it requires. This is OUR country damnit, and we won’t let anyone take it away!!!
